Ral Partha Giant Skeleton: Painting An Old School Miniature
Back to the grind! As many of you know, I've been painting a bunch of undead miniatures for my Sunday Dungeons & Dragons game (see my previous Terrogheist post for more details). Instead of pulling more Warhammer models from my pile of potential, I decided to go a different route and picked an old school miniature from my collection -- the Ral Partha "Giant Skeleton."

Lately, I've been painting miniatures for my homebrew Dungeons and Dragons campaign, The Black Solstice -- an epic, inter-dimensional adventure that (for the moment) features a lot of undead monsters. Well, there's only so many skeletons and ghouls one can paint before boredom sets in. Don't get me wrong -- I love painting a good ol' zombie as much as the next guy, but I needed a palette cleanser to keep my sanity. Behold, the Beholder!

I've been a fan of the the Warhammer Terrorgheist model for a long time, but never had an opportunity to add the miniature to my collection until recently. During the holidays, I picked up a second-hand model in outstanding condition and last week, I finally had a chance to paint up the gruesome beast for my Sunday D&D game (Warhammer models are great miniatures to use for Dungeons & Dragons, and the Terrorgheist fits in perfectly for my homebrew "Black Solstice" campaign).

The skulls are detailed and cleanly painted not flooded. The dice are heavy metal and feel great.
Was a good quality product, looked awesome, worked super well.
We used it pretty heavily, so it popped after the first day, but we were throwing it around on a lawn with rocks and pine needles. So can’t really blame the product for that. Even still, it lasted a long time that day.
It looks just like the picture, the color of the eyeball and the inking is very vibrant. It's pretty easy to read, and the overall quality is excellent - I'm very happy with my purchase!
We wanted dice that could be read by the whole table. These dice are perfect. They are large and the contrasting colors are easy to read. I just wish the numbers could be a bit bigger to match the up sized dice.
I love this toxic series, but I almost passed on the yellows for bein too drab. Luckily the yellow has some neon to it making em perfect.

Really enjoy the bigger die , easy to handle and find in the game bag , have two of these now for Commander life total , very happy and would recommend giving these a try.
Very content with this set of dice that we chose for a specific character concept, reminds us of soft petals and bioluminescent moss...~ The pink is a tad more bold than we anticipated, but also very satisfied with how the glowing in the dark turns the colour closer to blood, feel it's very fitting...~
